Looking for something to do in Cusco? Join us here at Faces of Cusco for a pisco workshop!
If you’re traveling to Peru, chances are you will encounter pisco at some point during your trip. That’s because it’s the alcohol behind some of the country’s most-beloved cocktails. Stop on by and join our resident pisco expert and mixologist for a fun-filled evening of cocktail making (and drinking of course). This workshop will give you a taste of Peru’s favorite spirit as we take you through the origin, evolution, and cultural significance of pisco in Peru.
The pisco workshop begins with a brief history of the spirit. After learning more about it, you’ll put on an apron and get to work making your very own pisco infused cocktails. Our expert mixologist will walk you step by step through the process of making some really delicious drinks, all the while teaching you some cool bartending tricks. You’ll learn to make your own delicious Peruvian cocktails by combining pisco with flavours from the Amazon, Andes, and Pacific coast. The cocktails include:
- Mosquito (A mojito but with pisco instead of light rum)
- Caipirinha (pisco instead of cachaça)
Once you finish those three, you will then make the quintessential pisco-based drink – the classic pisco sour. You’ll return home with cool bartending tips and tricks and, more importantly, unforgettable memories from your trip to Cusco!
